Nels Hasty Cornelius of Guerneville, California, passed recently due to injuries sustained in a work place accident. Nels was born in Fremont, Nebraska in 1948, moving with his parents and siblings to Sonoma County, California in 1954.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa A (Dunn) Cornelius, his parents, Elmer, Sr. and Mary Leona (Neisius) Cornelius, and brother, Richard Ole Cornelius.
Nels is survived by children, Gene, Emily, Wendy (Lawyer) Cornelius, Logan, Gideon, Danny and Eddie, and ## grandchildren {first names} and numerous nieces and nephews
Surviving Siblings are Elmer Jr. (Linda) Woodland, CA, Mary Kay Pauley (Gary) Jackson, MI, Linda Sue Vaughn Cotati, CA, Barbara Ruth Napa, CA, and Peter Roy (Colleen) Ramona, CA, and Sister-in-law Debbie Cornelius, Chico, CA.

I really enjoyed hearing about the big industrial construction projects he was heading up. He was as knowledgeable as they come about construction, a legend in the industry and will be missed."
